  • How do I claim my award?

  • How old do I have to be to participate?

To participate in the scholarship programs offered by the Common Knowledge Scholarship Foundation you must be at least 14 years old. If you are under 14 years old you may have a parent or guardian register and compete under their account. You will need to notify through the Contact Us link that you are competing under a parent's account.

What programs are there for middle schools?

The Common Knowledge Scholarship Foundation is developing an academic quiz program for middle school students called the Fischler Cup. This is a special program that would require a teacher or school administrator to register the school with CKSF. Student would then register anonymously as part of the school's team. Each week there is a new online quiz based on middle school curriculum and at the end of every month the school with the highest score wins the Fischler Cup trophy.
Another program administered by the Common Knowledge Scholarship Foundation is the FBI-SOS (Safe Online Surfing) Internet Challenge. You can read about this program by visiting www.fbi-sos.org

    Can my parents help me?

If you are under the age of 14, a parent may register with CKSF and allow their child to participate in the scholarship quizzes. A parent or any other person may not help answer quiz questions while participating in a Common Knowledge Scholarship.

How do I claim my award?

If, as a middle school student, you are the winner of a Common Knowledge Scholarship, your award will be held by CKSF in your name until you graduate high school and enroll in college. At that time an electronic claim form will appear in your CKSF account and you will fill it out with your college information. We will then forward the check to your college or university for deposit into your account.

It is important that you stay active with the Common Knowledge Scholarship Foundation until you go to college. If you are inactive for six months, you may have your account suspended or deleted for inactivity.
